Описание : The term “Lake Poets” is applied to the group comprising William Wordsworth, Samuel Taylor Coleridge and Robert Southey who lived for some years in the so-called Lake District in the North of England. What united them was their friendship, especially that of Wordsworth and Coleridge. It resulted in the publication of the Lyrical Ballads, the joint work of Wordsworth and Coleridge, which is commonly regarded as marking the beginning of the Romantic Age in England. William Wordsworth:The Lyrical Ballads and the “Preface”; Nature Samuel Taylor Coleridge: Coleridge's reputation as a poet is based on a small but magnificent corpus of work. The best expression of his poetic vision can be found in his collaboration with Wordsworth in the Lyrical Ballads. His most widely read and acclaimed poems are The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, Kubla Khan and Christabel. -Romantic “Gothicism”
